Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta, a partnership between Broadway Across America and the Fox Theatre, is a powerful economic driver in Midtown, generating an estimated $137.4 million for the metro Atlanta economy in a single season. The figure comes from a new Broadway League study, The Economic Impact of Touring Broadway, based on data from the 2023–24 touring season.

Nationally, the touring Broadway industry generated $5.7 billion in economic activity, with about 91% of that – $5.15 billion – staying in the local communities that hosted the shows. Audience spending alone accounted for $1.34 billion in dining, transportation, shopping, and lodging tied to a Broadway night out. In Atlanta, that pattern is clearest in Midtown, where performances at the Fox Theatre pull audiences into the surrounding restaurants, bars, hotels, and parking decks before and after every show.

“Broadway in Atlanta performances at the Fox Theatre bring a noticeable surge in guests for us, especially before and after shows,” said Kristi Jones of Publik Draft House, located near the Fox Theatre. “You can feel the difference the moment theatergoers start arriving – the energy completely transforms the night, with packed pre-show cocktails and a strong post-show crowd keeping the momentum going. It turns a regular service into a lively, high-volume experience that’s great for our team and even better for our guests.”

“Atlanta has been one of the strongest touring Broadway markets in the country for decades, and what this report quantifies is something our subscribers and the businesses around the Fox have known for a long time – that a Broadway night in Midtown drives real economic activity well beyond the theater itself. We’re proud to be a meaningful part of that ecosystem as we head into our 45th anniversary season,” said Russ Belin, Vice President of Broadway in Atlanta.

Beyond the box office economics, Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta supports Most Valuable Kids of Greater Atlanta, a nonprofit that works to combat social inequality by giving youth access to live sporting and cultural events in the Atlanta community. Since launching in Atlanta in 2017, the partnership has connected more than 14,000 students and chaperones to Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta performances.

Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta also supports the Fox Theatre’s All-Access Pass program, which introduces high school students to careers behind the scenes of live theater, including production, marketing, ticketing and arts management.

The current 2025–2026 season concludes with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (May 26–31) Blue Man Group (June 16–17) and Spamalot (July 21–26). Subscriptions are on sale now for the 2026–2027 Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta 45th anniversary season, with anticipated returns of Hamilton and Wicked, plus the Atlanta premieres of Death Becomes Her and Buena Vista Social Club.
