Fulton County Earns Top 10 National Ranking, Number One in the Southeast for Corporate Investment Activity

Fulton County has once again earned national recognition as one of America's premier destinations for business investment, ranking No. 7 in Site Selection magazine's 2026 "America's Best Counties" rankings and No. 1 among counties in the Southeast. The recognition marks the third consecutive year Fulton County has been named among the nation's Top 10 counties for corporate facility investment, reinforcing its position as a leading driver of economic growth, innovation, and job creation.
The rankings are based on corporate expansion and relocation activity between January 2025 and March 2026. They are compiled using the Conway Projects Database and evaluate counties nationwide based on announced corporate projects, capital investment, and jobs created. During the reporting period, Fulton County attracted a diverse portfolio of business investments spanning technology, advanced manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, logistics, and digital infrastructure.
Major 2025 and 2026 project announcements included: Rivian, Mercedes-Benz USA, Shriners Children’s, CRH Americas, Equifax, Duracell, Boston Scientific, Asbury Automotive Group, T. Marzetti Company and Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA. The list includes major headquarters, research, technology, healthcare, and shared services investments, with Fortune 500 operations represented by companies such as Equifax, Boston Scientific, and Asbury Automotive Group, alongside globally recognized brands including Mercedes-Benz, CRH, Rivian, Duracell, and Boehringer Ingelheim.
The annual rankings evaluate all 3,144 U.S. counties based on corporate expansion and relocation projects, capital investment, and jobs created. With 2,081 points, Fulton County, joined an elite group of counties driving economic growth and innovation across the United States.

Fulton County is home to a unique network of municipalities, including the City of Atlanta as its county seat.
