Atlantic Trust Expands Senior Wealth Management Team in Atlanta

Atlantic Trust, the U.S. private wealth management division of CIBC, announced Thursday that it continues to expand in New York, Houston and Atlanta, hiring three new relationship managers who collectively bring almost 40 years of portfolio and wealth management experience to the firm.
Kishore Setty, CFA, Daniel C. Carter and Giovanni "Gio" Boccia joined the firm's New York, Houstonand Atlanta offices, respectively, earlier this month. Setty has joined as a senior vice president and relationship manager, and Carter has joined as a senior vice president and senior relationship manager. In these roles, Setty and Carter provide comprehensive portfolio and wealth management solutions for high-net-worth individuals, families, foundations and endowments. Boccia is a vice president and associate relationship manager, responsible for assisting the senior team with the development and execution of portfolio management, asset allocation, financial planning, and estate planning strategies.

Kishore Setty brings more than 13 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Setty was a portfolio manager at US Trust, where he was responsible for managing over $600 million in client assets. Previously, Setty was with Old Mutual Asset Management and Prudential, where he focused on portfolio construction of multi-manager portfolios for institutional and retail clientele. Setty earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Tufts University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA institute.
Daniel Carter brings more than 15 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Carter worked at RNS Capital LP, where he assisted with the development and management of the firm, focusing on capital development and investor relations. Prior to RNS, Carter has worked at Donaldson,Lufkin and Jenrette; Morgan Stanley and UBS. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in government and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas. While at UT, Carter was a Texas Cowboy and was selected as the Distinguished Naval Graduate. He also served on active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps and was awarded the Navy Achievement and Humanitarian Medals.
Giovanni Boccia brings nine years of industry experience. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Boccia served as a vice president and investment portfolio manager with the Private Wealth Management Group at SunTrust Bank. In that role, Boccia was also a member of the portfolio construction group, where he helped construct and monitor strategy portfolios. Boccia earned a Bachelor of Science in commerce from DePaul University and a Masters of Business Administration from Georgia State University with a concentration in finance. He has also completed the DePaul University Financial Planning Certificate Program and is working towards obtaining the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.
They bring the total number of new hires this year to 12, including Charles "Charlie" F. Fowler, who joined the Newport Beach office on February 10 as a vice president and relationship manager.
