bookacoach, an Elevate Ventures portfolio company that provides an online marketplace for booking sports lessons, announced Monday its acquisition of Atlanta-based online coaches and trainers directory TRAINlete.
With TRAINlete's user database, bookacoach increases coach network in Southeast region of the U.S. In addition, bookacoach acquires TRAINlete's technology and online coaching resources, and will retain founder, Jeremy Clouse, as a Consultant in the Southeast market.
"When it comes to connecting parents with coaches for private lessons, safety remains our top priority which makes the acquisition of TRAINlete a natural fit," said bookacoach CEO, Kevin MacCauley. "We are excited to welcome TRAINlete customers and introduce them to an expanded set of features for their sports coaching experience."
As part of the transition, all TRAINlete coaches will undergo bookacoach’s rigorous background check process known as the BAC Safety Check. The check consists of a national, state and county level background check. The transition is expected to begin later this month.
"We are revolutionizing the way people view and understand sports safety," said bookacoach Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer, Myles Grote. "We understand that not all background checks uphold the same standard which is why our BAC Safety Check has been designed with the highest standards in the industry."
