On April 1, 2014, Georgia Partnership for Telehealth announced Sherrie Williams, LCSW as their new Executive Director. Sherrie has been brought on to lead the Georgia-based organization in place of Matt Jansen, who recently transitioned to Chief Development Officer of the Telehealth International Partnership.
Mrs. Williams has been with GPT for over two years as the school-based telehealth specialist and telehealth liaison. During this time, she developed and implemented 51 School-Based Telehealth Clinics throughout Georgia. Prior to coming to GPT, Mrs. Williams worked in the private mental health sector as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and later worked in the public school setting as guidance counselor before becoming the director of Georgia’s first school-based telehealth center.
Mrs. Williams stated, “Working for GPT is an honor. I have watched this organization grow and bloom over the past six years and I am excited to help lead it into the future.”
