The winners represent an extremely impressive group of companies driving the growth of the software industry here in Georgia,” said Linda Hughes, TAG SSA Chair. "Each year we highlight a segment of the software industry where Georgia is positioned as a leader in the nation. This year, with Health IT as a market leader in Georgia, TAG SSA decided to spotlight Health IT for our Where Georgia Leads category."

Each year the Impact Awards recognize companies and their teams who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in bringing new technology solutions to the market. The winners have built outstanding software solutions that make a significant impact for their customers and their businesses.  The judges for the event were looking for three criteria in selecting the winning entries:

  • Business impact: how much are these companies disrupting their industry? To what degree are they leading positive change?
  • Complexity: to what degree is the companies’ solution difficult to replicate
  • And creative: how unique is the concept behind the companies’ value proposition

The Southeast has a vibrant and growing software industry, and Georgia is the central hub. The nominees, applicants and finalists for this year’s SSA Impact Awards are excellent examples of software innovation and leadership, happening right here in Georgia,” said Hughes.

The Impact Awards ceremony was held at the Hyatt Regency Suites Atlanta Northwest, 2999 Windy Hill Road in Marietta, Georgia on Thursday, April 24th, 2014 at 7 p.m.  Tee Green of Greenway Health was the keynote speaker, TAG President Tino Mantella gave highlights from the state of the industry and the Master of Ceremonies was Richard Warner, CEO of What’s Up Interactive.
