Mobile Technology Leaders Convene for Mobility Live

Mobile technology's key thought leaders produced a sell-out crowd of more than 900 attendees for the this year's Mobility LIVE! event Sept. 23 and 24 in Atlanta.

The day and a half mobile experience for leading-edge mobile technology developers, startups and decision makers featured some of the biggest names in technology and included demonstrations of the latest mobile technology products. Headline speakers included Vice President of eCommerce at Delta Air Lines Rhonda Crawford, Digital Technology Officer at The Weather Channel Chris McClellen, Tom Daly, Group Director of Global Connections at The Coca-Cola Company and Ralph de la Vega, President & CEO of AT&T Mobile and Business Solutions.

"Mobility LIVE! has brought together the biggest thought leaders in the mobility space from around the country, many of which are based here inAtlanta, to be a part of this extraordinary event," said Mike Zeto, director, corporate development, M&A, AT&T Mobility Strategy and co-chair of the Metro Atlanta Chamber's (MAC) Mobility Task Force. This event has helped to pull together the technology leaders and implementers of mobility solutions that drive real-world impact and highlights Atlanta's strengths as a global hub for mobile technology innovation."

The Mobility Star Awards were presented by global consulting firm WNA. The awards recognize mobile technology leaders who have made a substantial impact in the past year creating and advancing adoption or innovative use of mobile technology, and that have helped grow Atlanta'smobile presence.

The 2014 Mobility Star Award winners are:

Held at the Woodruff Arts Center, Opera and the W Hotel Midtown, the conference offered more than 30 industry sessions covering mobility's hottest sectors, including big data, emerging technology, media, entertainment, e-commerce and mobile marketing.

In the past year, metro Atlanta has claimed headlines with major mobile technology announcements and created an estimated 24,000 jobs in mobile app development alone, resulting in an estimated economic impact of more than $1 billion.
