The Georgia Association of Health Underwriters (GAHU), an organization of health insurance agents, brokers and consulting professionals, announced the new president for the 2014-2015 fiscal years.
Jodie E. Braner, a registered health underwriter (RHU), will lead the nonprofit organization.
Braner, of Marietta, has over 10 years of brokerage experience in the life and health insurance industry and brings determination, passion and commitment to her role as president of the Georgia state chapter. Braner is a graduate of the University of Georgia and earned the registered health underwriter designation from the American College. She currently serves her local community on the board of directors for the Friends of East Cobb Park as well as the Technology Association of Georgia Health Society.
"The delivery of health care is changing," Braner said. "Health care reform has been a unique component of that change. Combined with the ongoing changes in law and compliance, employers are in need of assistance in managing their employee benefit programs more than ever. My role will be to provide our members and community of clients with the most current education and guidance. We will also focus on the changes in technology."
