Guardian Pharmacy of Atlanta, a leading long-term care pharmacy and locally-owned member of the Guardian Pharmacy family, announced the acquisition of the long-term care division of Moye’s Pharmacy in Stockbridge, Georgia, and Wender & Roberts Assisted Living Pharmacy in Roswell, Georgia. This strategic expansion caps two years of exceptional growth and positions the company to now serve group homes, assisted living and skilled nursing communities from Macon to the north Georgia state line.

The acquisition increases the pharmacy’s resident customer base by more than 112 percent and its prescription volume by more than 70 percent. In addition, since inception in 2012, Guardian Pharmacy of Atlanta has increased its employee base from 10 to 43 through acquisition and organic growth.

The pharmacy also announced that it will now offer Medicine-On-Time’s multi-dose dispensing system that color codes medications by time of day. This is in addition to the pharmacy’s current unit-dose and automated multi-dose strip packaging options.

Moye’s 2,500 sq. ft. long-term care pharmacy will serve as an additional location for Guardian Pharmacy of Atlanta under the Guardian name, allowing for even greater personalized attention to facilities in the southern part of the footprint. Wender & Roberts Assisted Living Pharmacy’s customers will now be serviced through Guardian Pharmacy of Atlanta’s flagship 10,000 sq. ft. pharmacy in Marietta.
