PRSA Georgia Chapter Hosts Seminar and Luncheon Set for October 22nd

The Public Relations Society of America Georgia Chapter (www.prsageorgia.org) hosts two events on Wednesday, October 22 a seminar that will take an in-depth look at social media storytelling, then a luncheon shining the focus on one of the summer's biggest PR success stories, Coca-Cola's Share a Coke campaign. Both events will be held at Maggiano's Buckhead in Atlanta. 

Morning Seminar: Social Media Storytelling: How to Create Inspiring Stories and Measure Success:
With the explosion of social media tools, enhanced features on smartphones and the growth in shareable content, PR practitioners have several options when telling their organizations' stories to a wide variety of audiences. Participants will learn how to navigate the most prevalent social media tools successfully to share content and engage with audiences. Panelists will also cover how to measure success and how to create powerful social media campaigns on any budget. Panelists will share best practices and demonstrate how they integrate social media programs into their overall PR strategy.

Luncheon: The PR Story Behind Coca-Cola's "Share a Coke" Campaign in the U.S.
The Coca-Cola Company created a buzz this summer with its "Share a Coke" campaign in the U.S., inviting fans to find their names -- and the names of family members, friends - on bottles of Coke, Diet Coke and Coke Zero across the U.S. Since it first launched in Australia in 2011, the campaign has rolled out in more than 50 countries and has driven publicity and engagement among fans talking about one of the world's best-known beverages. Lauren Thompson, director of public affairs and communications at Coca-Cola, North America, will share the strategies and PR story behind the "Share a Coke" campaign, and how it ties in with Coke's legacy of bringing people together.
