Jeff Galloway 13.1 and Barb’s 5K Virtual Race Signups are Now Available

The very first inaugural Jeff Galloway 13.1 Half Marathon and Barb’s 5K have just gone virtual!
For those wanting to participate in either event hosted by America’s Running Coach, Jeff Galloway and his wife Barbara Galloway, but that are unable to make it due to travel issues: Problem solved.
With the virtual race options now available, runners can participate in the event without ever having to leave their treadmill if they want. With virtual races gaining popularity in today’s world, by allowing runners to run the distances that all other participants will race, but let them to do these distances anywhere that is accessible to the runners.
Prices for virtual participation of The JG Race weekend have been determined for the Half Marathon to be $49 and $19 for Barb’s 5K. Each virtual participant will receive the same official Jeff Galloway finisher’s medal along with an event t-shirt with receipt of proof of completion. Along with the prestigious finisher’s medal and the race shirt, participants will also gain the “Legacy” status for future Jeff Galloway awards and will have guaranteed entry into future Jeff Galloway 13.1 events for being finishers of its opening year (2014).
As if the deal couldn’t get any better, Jeff Galloway has also announced the runners will be eligible for a five-year special award for those who complete each of the first five races, which will be dubbed as “Heritage Status.”
To show proof of participation in the virtual races, runners will have to send in a snapshot of their chosen GPS recorded course and their time. Photos will also be accepted from mobile apps such as Nike Run, Map My Run, and other similar apps or participants can even send in a photo of their Garmin GPS device that shows the date, time, and distance.

If participants are running in another event, participants just have to send in proof of finish place, time, date, and the event name.
America’s Running Coach thought the virtual race was the perfect way to reach runners and fans all over the world.
