Tesla Motors is asking a Georgia judge to dismiss a petition by the state's auto dealers to ban the California automaker from selling its $100,000 all-electric sedans in the Peach State.
In August, the Georgia Automobile Dealers Association (GADA) — filed a petition with the state Department of Revenue Aug. 28, arguing Tesla's direct sales model violates Georgia law. The GADA represents 500 franchised dealers in the state.
