Batson-Cook Construction is again teaming with Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Southeastern Regional Medical Center to perform an expansion of the regional destination hospital’s radiology department and clinic. This $13 million contract marks a total of $119 million in contracts secured by the general contractor since breaking ground on the original facility in 2011.
“Batson-Cook is expanding CTCA to meet its growing patient needs and to continue to provide its high-quality, fully integrative and personalized model of care,” commented Josh Fenn, project manager for Batson-Cook. “This partnership and the continuation of our work reflects our dedication to the construction standards set forth by CTCA.’
The scope of the radiology expansion project includes the construction of new CT and PET CT rooms, as well as additional exam and diagnostic reading rooms. This work is projected to finish in June 2015. Furthermore, the general contractor will complete a build out of the vertical expansion to the existing clinic. This space will include laboratories, office and clinical exam rooms and is scheduled to complete in February 2014.
