Centennial Olympic Park will permanently close Andrew Young International Boulevard(“International Boulevard”), through the Park to vehicular traffic from Centennial Olympic Park Drive to Marietta Street on February 9, 2015. Signage through the Park, notifying the public of this plan, has been in place since early January. 

International Boulevard will continue to function as a public right-of-way to pedestrians and cyclists and will also support specific event related activities for the Park. The closure will make the area much safer for pedestrians, especially young children who frequent the Fountain of Rings, and honor the architects’ original design for the thoroughfare as a plaza connecting the Fountain of Rings to the northern part of the Park.
