Georgia Senate OKs Mid-Year Budget

The Georgia Senate overwhelmingly approved Gov. Nathan Deal's $21.1 billion mid-year budget request Wednesday.
The annual mid-year budget adjustment, which passed 54-1, would increase state spending by $276 million over the fiscal 2015 budget lawmakers adopted last spring. Most of that additional money would go to account for growing public school enrollment.
