SCANA Announces the Closing of the Sale of SCANA Communications

SCANA Corporation announced today that it has closed the previously announced sale of SCANA Communications, Inc. to Spirit Communications (privately held by a group of independent telephone companies in South Carolina). Spirit Communications paid the company approximately $150 million, which is subject to post-closing adjustments.
