Georgia Power Submits Plant Vogtle Delays to PSC

Georgia Power Co. asked state energy regulators Friday to approve delays in completion of the planned nuclear expansion at Plant Vogtle the Atlanta-based utility announced last month.

In its latest semi-annual construction update on the $14.5 billion project, Georgia Power officials reported to the state Public Service Commission (PSC) spending $169 million during the last half of 2014 building two additional nuclear reactors at the plant south of Augusta.
