The Innovation Crescent Regional Partnership and Georgia Bio announced they signed a Memorandum of Understanding, formally agreeing to collaborate in the promotion and support of the life science industry in Georgia. The agreement was signed at the Atlanta Center for Medical Research.
“This partnership will strengthen efforts to promote Georgia’s life sciences industry, recruit new businesses to our state and support existing innovative companies to bring life-changing and life-saving products to market.”
“Georgia’s Innovation Crescent is rapidly building its reputation as one of the leading life science clusters in the nation, thanks in part to the many collaborative efforts of public, private, academic and government institutions in the region,” said David Hartnett, vice chairman of the ICRP. “This ICRP and Georgia Bio agreement exemplifies the spirit of collaboration that exists here, and we welcome the opportunity to work with the State’s largest life science associations.”
With the signing of the MOU, the ICRP will serve as one of Georgia Bio’s economic development partners and Georgia Bio will support the ICRP in marketing the region to recruit, retain and expand life science companies in Georgia. The two organizations play a vital role in assisting the life science industry in the state.
“We are excited to continue our collaboration with ICRP and formalize our partnership,” said Russell Allen, president and CEO of Georgia Bio. “This partnership will strengthen efforts to promote Georgia’s life sciences industry, recruit new businesses to our state and support existing innovative companies to bring life-changing and life-saving products to market.”
