Georgia State Hosts International Business Case Study Competition

The winning team in the Case Challenge Competition held March 26-27 at Georgia State University had to weigh the desire of a Chinese technology firm to become a global leader by expanding in the U.S. against the security concerns of U.S policy makers.

The team recommended that the company establish its own cyber security center in Washington to allay fears of the policy makers that it would be used by Chinese hackers to access confidential information through back doors into U.S. networks.

They also advised that the company build brand recognition by introducing new products like smart watches, tablets and higher-end smartphones in the U.S., and that it build customer loyalty through a corporate social responsibility program providiing free technology to underprivileged schools in the New Orleans area.
