Friday, April 24th, 2015
Gov. Nathan Deal touted Georgia’s growing auto and film industries and praised lawmakers for a successful legislative session Wednesday, saying the state is headed in the right direction.
Speaking at a luncheon at Vinings Bank in Smyrna, Deal spoke to Cobb business leaders and elected officials about the state of education in Georgia, the need for increased transportation funding and the religious liberty bills that failed to reach his desk this session.
Deal said the state works hard to help high school graduates succeed, but it needs to do more to make sure Georgia students reach that point.
