Columbus Mayor Gives an Epic Graduation Speech at Imploding College

The commencement ceremony Saturday at Virginia's Sweet Briar College could have been emotional and elegiac considering the school's announcement that it would close at the end of the semester.
However, the main commencement speaker, Columbus, Georgia mayor Teresa Tomlinson, seemed highly reluctant to accept the all-women's college's fate. She even encouraged graduates to find ways to halt the closure plans.
