Atlanta’s GS BATTERY INC. to Introduce New High Cycle-Life Battery at InterSolar 2015

GS BATTERY (U.S.A.) INC. has announced that they will be unveiling a new battery model at the upcoming InterSolar trade show in San Francisco, CA.

The new SLR-1000 is a 2-volt Advanced Lead battery that provides an unprecedented 5000 cycles at 70% depth of discharge. 

Eric Gallant, Director of Business Development at GS Battery stated, "This battery is a major advancement in the capability of lead-acid batteries. We have applied a number of leading-edge technologies to the development of this battery and the resulting performance is astounding. With the SLR-1000 we can provide the high cycle-life performance of Lithium-Ion with the price, reliability and inherent safety of Lead-Acid." 

The SLR-1000 is designed for rigorous cycling use and is a perfect fit for commercial, industrial and grid-scale energy storage applications. Additional features of the SLR-1000 include:

  • Maintenance-Free, Valve Regulated Sealed Lead-Acid design 
  • Rated Capacity (10hr): 1000AH 
  • Nano-Carbon Treated Plate Technology
