Batson-Cook Construction has won 2015 Build Georgia Awards for two recently-completed healthcare projects: Cancer Treatment Centers of America Southeastern Regional Medical Center (CTCA) in Newnan, Georgia, and Northside Hospital Ground Floor Surgery Renovation and Addition in Atlanta.   The awards were presented at AGC Georgia’s annual convention in Amelia Island, Florida.

“The skill and dedication of Batson-Cook’s healthcare project personnel and our 100 years of construction experience enable us to achieve exceptional results for our healthcare and hospital clients,” said Randy Hall, president and CEO.  “These awards were hard earned and well deserved.”

The award-winning CTCA project was a 110,000-square-foot vertical and horizontal addition to the original 225,000-square-foot CTCA facility built by Batson-Cook in 2012.  Also included was the renovation of 30,000 square feet in the original building.  The project added 25 patient beds and 154 parking spaces to the CTCA campus in Newnan.

The Northside Hospital project, which was completed in 18 phases, called for a 16,000-square-foot renovation of the hospital’s ground floor surgery space and a 585-square-foot addition to the ground floor waiting room.  The surgery area renovation included the addition of one hybrid and one standard OR; the expansion of an existing OR; renovation of the existing PACU, including four new PACU bays; renovation of the pre-op area, including seven new pre-op bays; and expansion and renovation of the OR satellite pharmacy.

Batson-Cook personnel leading the CTCA project were: David Glasscock, Kyle Wood, and Jim Meadows, project managers; and Chuck Williams, David Tate, and Jordan McKinney, superintendents.  Personnel on the Northside Hospital project were David Glasscock, project manager; and David Tate, Britt Shiver and Jeremiah Perkins, superintendents.
