Cobb School Board Approves $1B Budget: Employees to Receive a 4% Raise

The Cobb school board on Thursday unanimously adopted Superintendent Chris Ragsdale’s $1 billion budget, which includes a 4 percent raise for all employees, funding for at least 100 new teachers and no furlough days or tax hikes.
The board also hired five new principals and tabled a vote on a $5 million earmark for a new elementary school in south Cobb.
