The full, one-hour version of “Mayor Ivan Allen, Jr.: A Different Road” premieres Monday night, June 8 at 10:00 p.m. on GPB.  This milestone film captures what was arguably the most formative decade in the history of Atlanta.

The new film by Atlanta producers David and John Duke of LivingStories features business icons John Portman, Herman Russell, and Charlie Loudermilk along with Congressman John Lewis, Senator Sam Nunn, Ambassador Andrew Young, President Jimmy Carter and Dean Jacquelyn Royster of the Ivan Allen, Jr. College of Liberal Arts at Georgia Tech.

Out of Atlanta’s past, “A Different Road” draws a timely message for our own time – and our city’s future.
