I-85 Toll Revenue Growth 'Explosive'

Motorists might complain about paying tolls of up to $11 for using the Interstate 85 express lanes, but they’re still proving popular.
The State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) is projecting $9.1 million in toll revenues for the fiscal year starting July 1, an increase of about 25 percent over this year, agency Executive Director Chris Tomlinson said Wednesday.
