LendingPoint, a leading Atlanta-based online direct loan provider, is excited to announce that its CEO and Co-Founder Tom Burnside has been unanimously approved for membership on Devereux Georgia’s Advisory Board. For more than 40 years, Devereux Georgia has been providing new hopes, new dreams and new choices for children, adolescents and young adults struggling with emotional and behavioral health challenges.

Tom has long been a believer in how important it is for both him and LendingPoint to give back, particularly in the local community where his business is headquartered and where he and his family have lived for many years. Tom has been involved with supporting Devereux for over nearly 10 years, devoting time, support and expertise to an organization that provides critical services to vulnerable children, adolescents and young adults. To Tom, this is one, very rewarding way of “paying it forward.”

“Many people may not be aware that mental disorders are actually quite common among children. The need is pressing with just over 20 percent, or one in five children, struggling with a serious mental health disorder at some point in their life. I know through my work with Devereux that treatment works, and I’m proud to support an organization that is making such a difference in the lives of young people right here in Georgia,” says Tom Burnside CEO, of LendingPoint.

As a dynamic, young company, LendingPoint has achieved remarkable success in just six short months, and the entire team from the top down is committed to giving back to its local community, acting upon its gratitude, and sharing some of its good fortune. Several of LendingPoint's team members have volunteered with Devereux, and the company is looking forward to future hands-on involvement in addition to financial donations and support which are already underway.
