The Georgia Health Care Association honored several professionals for their efforts to help Georgians receive better long-term and post-acute health care, awarding distinguished individuals the association's Leadership Excellence Awards. The fifth annual GHCA Leadership Excellence Awards were presented today at the association's summer convention in Amelia Island.
"This is not a job, this is a calling," said Chuck Brown, Senior Vice President of Program Development at PruittHealth, upon receiving the GHCA Leadership Innovation Award. This award recognizes an individual who has been a leader in developing programs and services that stand out as innovative and unique in their contribution to long-term care. As an advocate for growth and change in the long-term care community, Brown was elected as Vice Chair in 2014 to the GHCA Board of Directors and is known for his extensive efforts to help those less fortunate in the community. Brown consistently finds new ways to improve the lives and well-being of others as a champion of leadership and quality care.
"I am so pleased that Chuck was honored by GHCA with this distinguished award, as he continues to represent the PruittHealth family of providers on its pursuit of excellence. His hard work and dedication contributes to the high-quality care delivered by PruittHealth each day to more than 24,000 patients throughout the Southeast, and I am delighted that his commitment to caring has received statewide recognition," said Neil L. Pruitt, Jr., Chairman and CEO of PruittHealth.
