When my 16 year-old asked to go tarpon fishing for his birthday I was prepared—this is the same child who asked for a pond when he turned eight. I’d researched some options in advance, knowing that I was in for a salty, wet, full-on ocean adventure. Regardless, I like to surround myself with good food, overstuffed pillows and air conditioning, and in Georgia the best place for combining the twin pleasures of sporting life and luxury is Sea Island.
