The Georgia Chamber is proud to welcome two new members to the Public Affairs team, Kyle Jackson Vice President of State and Political Affairs and Elizabeth Harwood as Government Affairs Manager.  Jackson will manage the organization’s day-to-day lobbying activities at the legislature and regulatory levels as well as oversee the Chamber’s political activities and engagement efforts. He joins the Georgia Chamber most recently from the National Federation of Independent Business Georgia where he served as State Director. In his role, he represented NFIB Georgia members by advocating and lobbying at the state capitol, overseeing small business grassroots, and serving as media spokesperson. Jackson is a graduate of Ohio State University. He previously served as assistant legislative director and assistant state director for NFIB Ohio.

Harwood joins the Public Affairs team most recently from the Georgia Ready Mix Concrete Association, where she served as Manager of Marketing and Member Services. In this role, Harwood advocated for industry interests by working with community leaders, state agencies and legislators at the state and federal level.  She covered critical issue areas including economic development, transportation, tax policy and natural resources. Harwood is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. In her role at the Georgia Chamber Elizabeth will engage in state-level lobbying and manage related programs such as the organization’s Government Affairs Council.

“We are very excited Kyle and Elizabeth have joined the Public Affairs team. They both bring a unique wealth of expertise that will be great additions to the Georgia Chamber,” said Georgia Chamber president and CEO Chris Clark.  “Between Kyle’s extensive knowledge of business related policy issues and Elizabeth’s vast background with membership organizations our Public Affairs team is set to continue their great work.”
