Marriott International Celebrates 50 Years in Atlanta

Fifty years ago today, hospitality giant Marriott International opened its first hotel in Atlanta — the Atlanta Marriott Motor Hotel, which was located on Courtland Street in downtown Atlanta where the Sheraton Atlanta hotel now sits.
Today, Marriott has around 85 hotels in metro Atlanta with several more in the pipeline.
