SunTrust Executive Named One of the 2015 American Banker’s 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking

Rilla Delorier, EVP, consumer channels executive for SunTrust Banks, Inc., has been named one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking, a list developed by American Banker. Delorier earned this prestigious recognition for her impactful leadership on the banking industry and in the community.
 
American Banker’s Most Powerful Women in Banking recognizes the professional achievements, personal tenacity, and overall influence of the industry’s top-performing female executives. This year, Delorier ranked 14th on the list.
 
In naming Delorier to this year’s list, American Banker cited her work implementing self-service options for clients and adding technology, such as Teller Connect, to branches as reasons for her recognition. The publication also noted her efforts infusing a culture of fun into the workplace with events such as “Thank you Thursdays” and “One Team Moments.”  
 
As the consumer channels executive for SunTrust, Delorier is responsible for setting the retail strategy and integrating the client experience across all branch and digital channels to deliver the business results for the company’s Retail line ofbusiness. Previously, she spent nearly six years as SunTrust chief marketing and client experience officer and was director of marketing for SunTrust Wealth and Investment Management.
 
Delorier serves on the board of directors for the Bank Administration Institute and on the board of advisors for the United Way Women of Tocqueville.
