Mark Spain Real Estate Jumps Up Four Spots on Atlanta’s Top 25 Real Estate Companies List
Friday, April 26th, 2019
Mark Spain Real Estate, who made its debut on Atlanta’s Top 25 Real Estate Companies annual list last year, jumped up four places with its 2018 sales production, earning No. 18 on the list. Compiled annually by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the Top 25 list was recently published in a Home Quarterly focus issue featuring residential real estate top producers in metro Atlanta.
“We are pleased to make this exclusive list of top-producing metro Atlanta real estate companies for a second straight year,” states Chairman and CEO Mark Spain, whose firm experienced a 129 percent growth rate in gross residential real estate sales in 2018. “We are not trying to be the biggest real estate company, just the one offering the very best service to our clients while selling their home quickly and at the best price possible.”
Ranked by 2018 verified gross residential sales volume in the 20-county metro Atlanta region, Mark Spain and his team, although one of the smallest on the list with 80 real estate agents, had 1,577 transactions and $465 million in sales. Companywide, however, Mark Spain Real Estate had millions in transactions outside metro Atlanta proper as well as its Athens location and branch offices in Raleigh, Charlotte and Nashville. Overall the firm had $708 million in gross real estate sales, averaged 10.5 homes sold per business day in 2018 and had 118 total agents at year-end.
Other firms on the Top 25 Real Estate Companies list have as many 2,950 agents. Fourteen of the firms reported 500 or more agents.
Mark Spain Real Estate is based in Alpharetta, just minutes off Georgia 400, at 12600 Deerfield Parkway, #450, but also has three other locations strategically spaced out around the Atlanta perimeter in Marietta, Stockbridge and Buford to serve the entire 20-county metro Atlanta region as well as an office in Athens. In 2018, the firm began its Southeast expansion and now has real estate offices in Charlotte, Raleigh and Nashville.
The Top 25 Atlanta Real Estate Company honor comes on the heels of Mark Spain being the only real estate executive in Georgia named to the 2019 REAL Trends Game Changers list. Game Changers is a list of 50 industry-related people who have the potential to change the game of real estate in the coming year. Other honorees included Gary Keller, co-founder and CEO of Keller Williams International, long-time and well-known real estate industry trainers Brian Buffini and Tom Ferry, as well as the CEOs of RE/MAX International, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Zillow, Coldwell Banker, Realogy Holdings Corp., and HomeServices of America.
