Join the Atlanta Children's Shelter for its First-Ever Virtual 5K

The Atlanta Children's Shelter (ACS) will host its first ever virtual 5K the weekend of October 23-25, 2020. Supporters will raise money for ACS programs serving children and families facing homelessness in Metro Atlanta. 

"The Atlanta Children's Shelter continues to evolve and pivot as the Coronavirus pandemic severely impacts families living in poverty and homelessness who were already suffering from racial disparities and opportunity gaps," says Sandra Holiday, ACS Executive Director. "We are excited to host our annual 5K virtually, so please invite your friends and family to join us and help families facing homelessness in Atlanta become self-sufficient."

This family-friendly virtual event will be held in any location chosen by the participant and includes a 5K Run/Walk and a one mile fun run for children (ages 4-10).  All participants will receive a race t-shirt. Shirts will be mailed after the race to the address provided at registration.

Online registration is now open. Registration is $35 per adult participant and $20 for one mile fun run participants, ages 4-10. Prices increase after October 16, 2020 at 11:59pm EDT. 

Participants can create individual and team fundraisers to help ACS reach their fundraising goal.  Participants can also join social and competitive teams, share training videos, post race-day selfies, and use the hashtag #ACSVirtual5K and #ACSRuns on social media platforms.
