Georgia Power Employees Donate More than 35 Backpacks and Supplies to S.H.A.R.E. House in Douglasville

Georgia Power employees in Douglasville continue to support their local community from a distance during the COVID-19 pandemic. Members of the Citizen of Georgia Power – Metro West volunteer chapter donated more than 35 backpacks filled with supplies to S.H.A.R.E. House, a nonprofit organization that provides crisis intervention and the continuum of care to address the causes and effects of family violence. 

The team at S.H.A.R.E. House shared, “We truly appreciate Georgia Power’s role in helping families impacted by domestic violence. Their continued partnership has helped to inspire hope.”

Citizens of Georgia Power is the employee volunteer arm of Georgia Power Company. With 42 chapters statewide and more than 3,400 members, consisting of employees and their spouses, volunteers contributed more than 143,000 hours equal to $3.5 million last year.
