Avison Young and City Realty Advisors Represent Greenberg Farrow and John Marshall Law School in the Sale of Two West Peachtree Buildings to SCAD

Monday, December 14th, 2020

SCAD, the university that prepares talented students for creative careers, continues its expansion into Midtown with the purchase of two buildings, 1422 and 1430 West Peachtree, including an adjacent parking deck on 1421 Spring Street totaling 100,000 sq. ft. and 254 parking spaces. Avison Young’s Agency Leasing Group principal Kirk Rich represented Greenberg Farrow Architects and City Realty Advisors’ Tim Holdroyd and Nik Hatzis represented John Marshall Law School in the deal.

The John Marshall Law School, which will relocate its campus to a new Atlanta location in late 2021, sold 1422 West Peachtree with 67,000 sq. ft. of Class A office space along with its adjacent parking deck. In addition, SCAD also purchased 32,000 sq. ft. over three levels at 1430 West Peachtree.

“SCAD’s growth continues to be impressive and Avison Young and City Realty are pleased that we could accommodate their need for added space near their current campus,” said Kirk Rich, principal of Agency Leasing Group – Avison Young Atlanta.

“The significance of this deal is that it will help bring needed revitalization to Midtown’s north end," said Nik Hatzis, vice president of City Realty Advisors. "As SCAD continues to expand its Atlanta campus, the opportunity for new development in the area is endless.”
