Georgia Power Helps Bring Electric Vehicle Charging to Union City

Georgia Power has launched two new electric vehicle (EV) charger in Union City in Fulton County. The chargers are available for use starting today at 6781 Londonderry Way Union City, GA 30291, near I-85.
This gives Georgia Power nearly 50 fast-charger installations. Charging at the station will be complimentary to all drivers through January 4, 2021.
The charging station is capable of 62.5 kW output, and stations can pair together to offer 125 kW paired with PLUS 1x dual port Level 2 charging for overnight guests. Charging sessions require ChargePoint authorization, which is available atwww.georgiapower.chargepoint.com
The installation represents the newest technology in EV fast chargers, offering charging speeds up to 125kW – adding 100 miles in 12 minutes – dual dispensers and power sharing capability. Earlier this year, Georgia Power installed chargers in Rome, Columbus, Lavonia, Kingsland, Tifton, Forest Park and Milledgeville.
Georgia Power will invest $6 million over the next three years in fast-charging EV infrastructure for the public, further enabling electric vehicle adoption and connecting communities.
