Georgia Power Supports United Negro College Fund with $25,000 donation to Mayor’s Masked Ball Atlanta

Georgia Power is supporting the 37th annual United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Mayor’s Masked Ball Atlanta this year with a $25,000 donation.
The virtual event, scheduled for Saturday, December 19th, will be in support of the students that UNCF serves and historically Black colleges and universities. This year’s event is hosted by City of Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. More information and tickets are available at www.UNCF.org.
In November, Georgia Power and its parent, Southern Company, announced their support of Georgia’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities with $1.625 million in funding through the Southern Company Foundation. The grants will be used for technology tools, infrastructure, professional development and tech support for the 2020-2021 academic year.
