Members of Georgia Power’s Citizens- Gwinnett County Chapter support Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program

WHAT: Members of the Citizens of Georgia Power employee volunteer chapter from Gwinnett County supported more than presented a check to Salvation Army for their Angel Tree program for nearly $3,500.

Since the pandemic, Citizens members have not been able to participate in many hands-on service projects, but they have continued to make positive impacts in their communities. From feeding health care workers participating in canned food drives and Angel Tree programs, Gwinnett County chapter member’s commitment to their neighbors has been unwavering.

Citizens of Georgia Power is the employee volunteer arm of Georgia Power Company. With 42 chapters statewide and more than 3,400 members, consisting of employees and their spouses, volunteers contributed more than 143,000 hours equal to $3.5 million in 2019.
