Thursday, January 28th, 2021
Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Atlanta, known for advancing women in commercial real estate for more than 35 years, recently elected the 2021 officers and members of its board of directors. Officers serve a one-year term, and board members serve a two-year term representing one of the largest CREW Network chapters of approximately 80 chapters globally.
The slate of 2021 officers include President Greer Gallagher of Holder Construction, Past-President Jodi Borges-Bradley of IA Interior Architect, President Elect Ellen Smith of Parker Poe and Treasurer Susan Turner of JLL. New directors include Trena Joseph of Coro Realty and Pam Little of POND. Directors returning for the second year of their two-year term include Meredith Leapley of Leapley Construction, Abby Schmit of Fidelity National Title Group and Yvette Turner of Crocker Partners. Chapter Director Katie Smith remains on the board ex officio.
“It is an honor to be able to lead CREW Atlanta, one of the most dynamic chapters within the CREW Network, with my fellow officers and board of directors,” said Gallagher. “We are anticipating a transformative year in which we will launch our new three-year strategic plan, elevate our diversity, equity and inclusion programs through the formation of a new committee dedicated to those essential programs and policies, and prepare for some exciting milestones and events for our chapter.”
In 2021, the board will be leading implementation of a new three-year strategic plan as well as preparing for the organization’s 40th anniversary in 2022 and hosting of the CREW Network international conference in Atlanta in 2023. Likewise, the organization, which has always been rooted in creating a more equitable commercial real estate industry, has elevated diversity, equity and inclusion to its own committee beginning in 2021.
“At CREW Atlanta, we see a more equitable and diverse commercial real estate industry that starts with our members’ success,” continued Greer, “and we cannot wait to get started.”
