As we close out Women’s History Month this March, Georgia Power Senior Vice President of Metro Atlanta and Corporate Relations Bentina Terry is being recognized by Dress for Success Atlanta as a “2021 Woman of Power,” as part of their “Your Hour, Her Power” campaign.

Recently, Terry participated in a virtual interview with Dress for Success – an organization on a mission to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support and development tools to help women thrive in work and in life – to share her “why” for mentoring the next generation of female business leaders.

“This passion for helping other women really came from my parents. My sister and I were always empowered to believe that we could be anything we wanted to be,” she said. “My parents also taught us that to whom much is given, much is required. So that is truly what gives me the wind beneath my wings to mentor and support the next generation of women in the professional community.”

In her role as Senior Vice President of Metro Atlanta and Corporate Relations, Terry is responsible for Georgia Power's operations, sales, customer service, economic and community development, and external affairs activities for 1.4 million customers across metro Atlanta as well as statewide responsibility for Georgia Power’s work in underserved communities - people of color, the elderly, women and LGBTQ+.
