2021 Dancing Stars of Atlanta

Friday, May 7th, 2021

The Alzheimer’s Association 2021 Dancing Stars of Atlanta will premiere on Thursday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m.

For the past several years, the Dancing Stars of Atlanta event brought Metro Atlanta business leaders and philanthropists together to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association by gaining votes in a one-night gala dance competition. As a voluntary health organization, the Alzheimer’s Association will continue to follow public health safety guidelines, which includes not gathering in large groups.

This year, the event will take a different "twist" and feature Metro Atlanta celebrities paired with professional dancers that will compete in a magical world of a virtual ballroom. The event will include pre-event virtual red carpet activities featuring past performers and a “who wore it best”. In addition, guests will hear from local families as they share their brave Alzheimer’s stories while learning the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association. The judges include CBS46 Karyn Greer, and two past Dancing Stars winners, Atlanta President at Modern Luxury, D'anne Cagle Heckert and Private Office Advisor for Engel & Volkers, Ken Covers.

More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease – the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. Additionally, more than 11 million family members and friends provide care to people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. In Georgia alone, there are more than 150,000 people living with the disease and 334,000 caregivers.
