Modern Southern Diner Bantam + Biddy Joins the Ranks at Atlantic Station

Thursday, May 6th, 2021

Southern casual and family-friendly eatery Bantam + Biddy has opened its newest location at Atlantic Station, Atlanta’s premier mixed-use destination. The eatery has transitioned from its former sister restaurant, Chick-a-Biddy, and reopened its doors to the West Midtown community this April.

Bantam + Biddy offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and specializes in regional, all-natural and pastured poultry. The eatery serves a mixture of Southern-inspired cuisine with an emphasis on freshness, gluten-free accessibility and tradition. The Atlanta favorite is currently open Wednesday through Sunday.

“Atlantic Station has long been a prime location for our concept Chick-a-Biddy, and we expect the same for Bantam + Biddy,” said Chef and Co-Owner Shaun Doty. “Bantam + Biddy is comfortable yet elevated, offering customers our beloved chicken recipes in a modern environment. The Bantam + Biddy brand resonates with people, and as Atlantic Station transformed, so have we to better serve the community.”

Chef Shaun Doty started his career in Texas and went on to work in some of the largest culinary cities across the globe throughout France and Belgium, but his passion lies in creating simply prepared contemporary fare in Atlanta. He opened Shaun’s, a casual neighborhood bistro, in Inman Park in 2006 and also co-founded another Atlanta favorite, YEAH! Burger in 2010. His extensive culinary experience and passion for the concept of scratch cooking in a community setting is the driving force behind Bantam + Biddy, which he established in 2012. The Atlantic Station location marks the fifth location of the Southern diner with additional locations at Ansley Mall and Hartsfield-Jackson Airport along with out-of-state locations in Florida and Tennessee.

“The pandemic has brought on new challenges for restaurants, but Atlantic Station’s open-air concept and accessible location in the heart of Atlanta makes it an attractive option for both consumers and tenants,” said Cornell Holmes, general manager at Atlantic Station. “Bantam + Biddy is a true-to-Atlanta experience that has been able to make a successful pivot over the past year to cater to the changing needs of diners in the city. This concept is a perfect complement to the restaurants found at Atlantic Station, and we know our customers will enjoy the property’s latest eatery.”

Bantam + Biddy is the newest restaurant to join the diverse tenant mix as part of Atlantic Station. With additional tenants on tap to be announced, Atlantic Station plans to celebrate the openings of Azotea Cantina, LINDBERGH, Toscano Ristorante Italian and more this year.
