CHRIS 180 Promotes Two on Executive Management Team

CHRIS 180, an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization focused on trauma-informed behavioral health, recently announced the appointments of Queie Barnett to Chief People Officer and Elizabeth Goldberg to Chief Development Officer, effective immediately.

“During one of the most difficult seasons in our nation’s history, Elizabeth and Queie stepped up to ensure that CHRIS 180 remains strong and viable as we move toward the future with both donors and the highest caliber of caring employees,”  said Kathy Colbenson, LMFT, President and Chief Executive Officer of CHRIS 180. “ Their impact is and will be instrumental to our ability to advance our mission.” 

Since joining the nonprofit in 2018, Elizabeth Goldberg has served in a number of roles on the fundraising team before being hired as CHRIS 180’s Chief Development Officer in the Summer of 2021. She began her nonprofit career at Emory Hillel in Atlanta and has worked at the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, the Associated Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore and the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta. She is a graduate of Wheaton College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and holds a  Master of Arts in Jewish Professional Leadership from Brandeis University. “It is an honor to play a part in helping to change the direction of lives in our community through our work at CHRIS 180. I am excited to partner with our leadership team  to continue to build more philanthropic support throughout the community,” shared Goldberg.  

Queie Barnett, SPHR, SHRM-SCP joined CHRIS 180 in 2019 as the organization’s Director of Human Resources before her promotion to CHRIS 180’s first Chief People Officer.  Barnett has extensive training in key human resources accountability areas including: Six Sigma, Kaizen, safety and workers compensation and has worked on the  Human Resources teams at the Atlanta Community Food Bank and other organizations. Most recently, she was the Global Human Resources leader with Pangborn LLC, organizing human capital on a global level. Barnett holds degrees in Spanish from Washington University and Biology from University of Missouri – St. Louis.  In 2006, she received her designation as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and in 2015 she received her SHRM-SCP designation. “I continue to be energized by the achievements of our team at CHRIS 180 and moved by the way we impact the lives of our clients, families and communities. I look forward to continuing to raise the bar from the human capital perspective to provide the very best for our team,” shared Barnett.
