Moore Colson Celebrates 40th Anniversary With “Thinking Forward, Giving Back” Campaign
Wednesday, June 9th, 2021
Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting, consulting and advisory firm in Atlanta, announces a year of “Thinking Forward, Giving Back” to honor the contributions of its many dedicated team members, clients and friends in celebration of the firm’s 40th year in business.
Since the founding of Moore Colson in 1981 by Greg Colson, Jack Moore and Bill Murphy, the firm has been committed to building wealth and security for its clients by providing accounting and consulting services to closely-held businesses. While the first office located on Peachtree Street housed a staff of two professionals, one bookkeeper and one receptionist, today Moore Colson has a total of 29 partners, more than 150 employees and is ranked #14 on the Top 20 Atlanta Accounting Firms list by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
The theme of “Thinking Forward, Giving Back” was chosen to highlight the firm’s commitment to “thinking forward” and bringing the latest innovation and forward-thinking strategies to our clients while also underscoring its dedication to “giving back” to the local community.
The “Thinking Forward, Giving Back” year-long celebration features the following:
- A “40 for 40” social media series spotlighting 40 local nonprofits that Moore Colson has supported with active employee involvement in various capacities throughout the firm’s history. These organizations will be featured throughout the year across Moore Colson’s social media channels.
- Four days of service planned for employees, clients and friends to gather together and tangibly contribute “sweat equity” onsite at Solomon’s Temple, Atlanta Community Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity and Eagle Ranch.
- Forty thousand dollars in total firm charitable contribution to local nonprofits in honor of its 40th year.
“‘Thinking Forward, Giving Back’ really represents our firm's culture and how much we value our people, clients and community,” said Bert Mills, managing partner of Moore Colson. “We want to stop and thank everyone who has worked here or has been our client over the past 40 years. Giving back has always been at the core of who we are as a firm, and we look forward to serving the Atlanta community as part of our celebration.”
Moore Colson invites Atlanta to participate in its 40th anniversary service days or join in making a contribution. Clients and friends can register by visiting here.
