RangeWater Hires Sherry Freitas as Senior Managing Director of Property Management

RangeWater Real Estate has hired Sherry Freitas as Senior Managing Director of Property Management. She will oversee the operational performance of the firm with a focus on administrative and reporting procedures, operational controls and people systems in place to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. This includes the design, enhancement, implementation, reporting and oversight of the division’s financials, operations, and compliance.

“Sherry will bring extensive experience and knowledge to our team,” said Tracy Bowers, executive manager director at RangeWater. “I’ve admired her work for years, and when creating this new position, we knew she’d be the right fit. Sherry will help us scale by implementing best practices in technology, automation and workflow.”

Freitas joins RangeWater with more than 20 years of multifamily experience at companies like Greystar, Wood Partners, Waterton Associates and ING Real Estate. During her career, Freitas has overseen nearly 100,000 apartment units, offering leadership and operational expertise to improve business performance.

As a strategic leader and change initiator with global experience in multifamily housing, Freitas has extensive experience in high density markets in the United States, Europe, South America and Asia Pacific. Her experience also includes age-restricted properties and corporate/short stay partnerships. RangeWater looks forward to Freitas’ involvement in the company’s specialized product types, Olea and Storia, the firm’s age-targeted brand and single-family rental platform respectively.

Freitas holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Radford University. She’s a Certified Property Manager through the Institute of Real Estate Management and a member of the National Apartment Association, Georgia Apartment Association, and Atlanta Apartment Association. She serves on the board of the Atlanta Apartment Association and is the current chair of the Atlanta Apartment Association.

A native Virginian, Sherry enjoys the outdoors with her husband, two children and golden retriever, Lucy.
