TrainingPros Inc., a leading provider of contract-based learning and development (L&D) talent, has partnered with the nonprofit organization One Tree Planted for the purpose of doing something great for the Earth. For every consultant placed with a client company, TrainingPros is committed to celebrating it with a tree planted.

“We’re helping with reforestation, one staffed job at a time,” said Leigh Anne Lankford, president of TrainingPros. “Our goal in the next few years is to have 10,000 trees planted — a small forest — to honor our great consultants and thank our clients for their ongoing support of our services.” In 2021, to date, nearly 600 trees have been dedicated to be planted. “We’re excited to learn how many more trees we will help plant by the end of this year,” added Lankford.

 With the staffing industry seeing a rise in new assignments, Lankford is hopeful that this TrainingPros initiative will make a meaningful impact. According to a recent ASA Staffing Index report, for the week of June 7-13, 2021: “Staffing jobs were up 44.2% from the same week last year, but remain on par with the average levels seen for the comparative weeks in 2018 and 2019. Also, new starts jumped 7.0% on average, with over half (58%) of staffing companies reporting gains in new assignments week-to-week.”

Trees are vital to the planet, and they are home to 80% of the planet’s terrestrial biodiversity. Trees clean the air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to health and well-being, and provide jobs that have social impact.
