Jim Chapman Communities Names its First Partners

 Jim Chapman Communities, one of Greater Atlanta’s premier home builders, has announced its first partners, Kevin King and Terence Lang, Jr., according to Jim Chapman, president of Jim Chapman Communities.  “Both Kevin and Terence have made substantial contributions to the company over the years, and have been instrumental in launching our newest initiative -- building cottages homes for rent in Greater Atlanta and North Georgia.  I am pleased to announce that they are now our company’s first new partners, and am excited about their continued contributions to the firm’s success,” said Chapman.

Kevin King is the firm’s Vice President of Construction.  With nearly three decades of experience, King oversees the construction process, including managing field superintendents and project managers.  During his tenure with Jim Chapman Communities, he has been responsible for the completion of over 200 single-family homes and over 300 multifamily homes.  He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management from West Georgia College and lives in Buford, Ga. with his wife and two children.

Terence Lang, Jr. is the company’s Director of Purchasing.  He has over 15 years of experience in single-family and multifamily purchasing and estimating, including architectural design, vendor qualification and costing and new community due diligence and setup.  He earned a Masters of Science Degree in Residential Construction and Land Development from Georgia Tech and a Bachelors Degree in Construction Engineering from Florida A&M University.  He lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children.
