Georgia Power’s Krista Pierce named to Hands on Atlanta Civic Leadership Program

Krista Pierce, senior Volunteer Services Representative at Georgia Power has been selected for the 2021-2022 Hands On Atlanta Civic Leadership Program. With her passion for service and extensive volunteer experience, Pierce was able to secure a spot among an extremely competitive applicant pool.
In her role at Georgia Power, she is responsible for supporting the Citizens of Georgia Power employee volunteer groups and the Ambassadors retiree volunteer program across the state. She currently resides in Acworth.
The Hands On Atlanta Civic Leadership Program trains volunteers while supporting the needs of nonprofit agencies. Participants begin as Civic Fellows and develop into Civic Leaders through ongoing leadership training, experiential learning, and mentoring provided by Hands On Atlanta staff, alumni and partners. Civic Fellows pursue their civic leadership goals by leading services projects at their nonprofit partner sites. Responsibilities include recruiting volunteers, training and supervising volunteers during project and debriefing with partner after project is finished.
