Atlanta Ga, The Hosea Helps non profit organization headed to New Orleans in their 53 foot tractor trailer full of supplies, food, & non perishable items. The organization partnered with the Dream Center of Atlanta, Ga, Kaleidoscope of New Orleans, and business woman Laquita Brooks of New Orleans. The power house organizations joined hands to ensure that the much neeeded supplies were safely transported and distributed to families in desperate of support.
Hosea Helps is currently supporting displaced families due to Hurricane Ida in the Atlanta area as well. To date, the organization has supported over 25 families with shelter, food, and supplies. The goal is to continue to support as many families in need.
Laquita Brooks, a prominent business woman, coordinated many of the logistics on ground in New Orleans. She rallied together a team of New Orleans' business owners (volunteers) who were ready to help their own. Laquita currently owns a logistics company, therefore she was able to pick up a large amount of items, load her trucks, and distribute them to the parishes least touched. Her goal is to make sure that no one was left behind. “We have to really embrace being our brothers and sisters keepers during times like this”, stated Laquita Brooks. “ I am always available to use my resources to help my community."
